Introducción: El proyecto de investigación, que se expone a continuación, se llevará a cabo en un hospital público, se obtendrá información sobre la importancia del Método Madre Canguro (MMC), y la relevancia del contacto piel con piel para el neonato, especialmente en prematuros. El empleó de esta técnica brinda una amplia variedad de ventajas tanto al neonato, como a la madre/padre, ya que fortalece la conexión madre-hijo o padre-hijo, disminuyendo al mismo tiempo el nivel de ansiedad y estrés de todos los involucrados. Desde el punto de vista económico el uso de esta técnica resulta beneficioso para el sistema de salud, ya que reduce la utilización de incubadoras y disminuye la permanencia en el hospital de los prematuros. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre los conocimientos de las enfermeras y la aplicación del MMC en la UCIN. Metodología: El estudio es hipotético – deductivo, transversal, no experimental, con enfoque cuantitativo. La muestra será por 80 licenciadas de enfermería. La técnica a utilizar es la encuesta y los instrumentos que se emplearán son el cuestionario y la guía de observación, que serán realizados una vez que hayan firmado el consentimiento informado.
Resumen
Introduction: The research project, which is set out below, will be carried out in a public hospital, information will be obtained about the importance of the Kangaroo Mother Method (KMC), and the relevance of skin-to-skin contact for the neonate, especially in premature. The use of this technique provides a wide variety of advantages to both the newborn and the mother/father, since it strengthens the mother-child or father-child connection, while reducing the level of anxiety and stress of all those involved. From an economic point of view, the use of this technique is beneficial for the health system, since it reduces the use of incubators and reduces the hospital stay of premature babies. Objective: Determine the relationship between nurses' knowledge and the application of MMC in the NICU. Methodology: The study is hypothetical – deductive, transversal, non-experimental, with a quantitative approach. The sample will be 80 nursing graduates. The technique to be used is the survey and the instruments that will be used are the questionnaire and the observation guide, which will be carried out once they have signed the informed consent.
