Prioridad de atención según triaje y su relación con el tiempo de espera en el Centro de Salud Uliachin Pasco 2024

Abstract

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre la prioridad de atención según triaje y el tiempo de espera de los pacientes atendidos en el Centro de Salud Uliachín, Pasco, durante el año 2024. La investigación se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básico, con método hipotético-deductivo y diseño no experimental, correlacional y de corte transversal. La población y muestra estuvieron conformadas por 150 pacientes atendidos en el centro de salud, cuyos datos fueron obtenidos a partir de registros de atención. Los resultados evidenciaron que existe una relación estadísticamente significativa entre la prioridad de atención según triaje y el tiempo de espera de los pacientes (p < 0.001), lo que indica que el nivel de prioridad asignado influye en el tiempo que los pacientes esperan para recibir atención médica. Asimismo, se encontró una relación significativa entre la prioridad de atención y el tiempo de triaje (p < 0.001). Sin embargo, no se evidenció una relación significativa entre la prioridad de atención y variables demográficas como la edad y el sexo de los pacientes. Se concluye que el sistema de triaje cumple un papel importante en la organización de la atención en el centro de salud, ya que permite priorizar a los pacientes según la gravedad de su condición clínica y contribuir a una atención más oportuna. Asimismo, se resalta la importancia de fortalecer la gestión del centro de salud para optimizar los tiempos de atención y mejorar la calidad del servicio brindado a los usuarios.

The present study aimed to determine the relationship between triage priority and the waiting time of patients attended in the Uliachín Health Center, Pasco, during the year 2024. The research was conducted under a quantitative approach, of basic type, using the hypotheticaldeductive method and a non-experimental, correlational, cross-sectional design. The population and sample consisted of 150 patients treated in the Uliachín Health Center, whose data were obtained from care records. The results showed that there is a statistically significant relationship between triage priority and patients’ waiting time (p < 0.001), indicating that the level of priority assigned influences the time patients wait to receive medical attention. Likewise, a significant relationship was found between triage priority and triage time (p < 0.001). However, no statistically significant relationship was observed between triage priority and demographic variables such as patients’ age and sex. It is concluded that the triage system plays an important role in the organization of care in the Uliachín Health Center, as it allows prioritizing patients according to the severity of their clinical condition and contributes to more timely care. Furthermore, the importance of strengthening Uliachín Health Center management is highlighted in order to optimize care times and improve the quality of services provided to users.
