This study aimed to compare the lengths of the mandibular ramus and body based on the impaction type of the mandibular third molar, using cephalometric radiographs of young adults in Lima in 2026. The study employed a non-experimental, cross-sectional design at a relational level, utilizing a quantitative, applied research approach. A total of 250 cephalometric radiographs were analyzed as the study sample. An observation form was used to record measurements obtained via EasyDent V4 Viewer software, and intra-observer calibration was performed to ensure reliability. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS, applying the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test for normality and the Kruskal-Wallis and ANOVA tests for hypothesis testing (p<0.05). Results showed a mean mandibular ramus length of 57.833 mm and a mean mandibular body length of 74.216 mm. No statistically significant differences were found when comparing these dimensions based on the type of mandibular third molar impaction (p>0.05), although slight variations between groups were observed. Additionally, differences based on sex were identified, with men exhibiting larger mandibular dimensions. It was concluded that the lengths of the mandibular ramus and body do not show statistically significant differences based on the type of mandibular third molar impaction, thereby providing cephalometric reference data for young adults in Lima.
