Somnolencia diurna y su relación con el flujo pico espiratorio en trabajadores administrativos del Centro Materno Infantil Santa Luzmila, 2025

Abstract

Este estudio busca determinar la relación entre la somnolencia diurna y el flujo pico espiratorio en trabajadores administrativos Para ello, se utilizarán dos instrumentos:Para medir la somnolencia diurna (variable independiente), se utilizará la técnica de encuesta estructurada, mediante la aplicación de la RESUMEN DEL TRABAJO Escala de Somnolencia de Epworth (ESS), instrumento (Máximo 200 palabras y en ampliamente validado para cuantificar la propensión a dormirse castellano) en distintas situaciones diurnas . Para evaluar el flujo pico espiratorio (variable dependiente), se aplicará la técnica de medición fisiológica directa, empleando un medidor mecánico de flujo pico espiratorio (peak flow meter). Se registrará el valor más alto de tres intentos, siguiendo recomendaciones estandarizadas de la American Thoracic Se espera encontrar una relación entre ambas variables con la finalidad de tener un objetivo final.

This study seeks to determine the relationship between daytime sleepiness and peak expiratory flow in administrative workers. To this end, two instruments will be used: To measure daytime sleepiness (independent variable), a structured survey will be used, applying the Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS), an instrument (maximum 200 words, in Spanish) widely validated for quantifying the propensity to fall asleep, in different daytime situations. To evaluate peak expiratory flow (dependent variable), a direct physiological measurement technique will be applied, using a mechanical peak expiratory flow meter. The highest value of three attempts will be recorded, following standardized recommendations from the American Thoracic Society. The aim is to find a relationship between both variables in order to achieve a final objective.
