Evaluación del espesor de la tabla ósea vestibular en los dientes anterosuperiores y cómo es la morfología del conducto nasopalatino en tomografías de haz cónico de pacientes en Lima en 2024

Abstract

En el trabajo investigativo se analizaron las variaciones en el grosor de la cortical ósea labial de las piezas dentarias del sector anterior maxilar y la morfología del conducto incisivo (CI) mediante CBCT en pacientes de Lima en 2024. Bajo un prisma cuantitativo, deductivo, observacional, analítico-transversal, se evaluaron 132 tomografías del centro radiológico SIDEMAX EIRL. El espesor de la TOV a 1 y 3 mm fue mayor en individuos de 18-29 años, y a 5 mm en el grupo de 30-59 años. No hubo disimilitudes por sexo, mas sí por edad (p < 0.05). El canal simple fue la morfología del CNP más frecuente, sin diferencias relevantes por sexo ni edad (p > 0.05). Variantes como la forma en Y o conductos paralelos fueron poco frecuentes. Se concluyó, entonces, que la TOV varía con la edad, y el CNP no se ve influido por edad ni sexo; datos indispensables en implantología y planificación quirúrgica en la zona anterosuperior del maxilar.

The research analyzed variations in the thickness of the labial cortical bone of the anterior maxillary teeth and the morphology of the incisive canal (IC) using CBCT in patients in Lima in 2024. Using a quantitative, deductive, observational, analytical-transversal approach, 132 tomographs from the SIDEMAX EIRL radiology center were evaluated. The thickness of the TOV at 1 and 3 mm was greater in individuals aged 18-29 years, and at 5 mm in the 30-59 age group. There were no differences by sex, but there were differences by age (p < 0.05). The single canal was the most frequent morphology of the PNC, with no relevant differences by sex or age (p > 0.05). Variants such as the Y-shape or parallel canals were rare. It was therefore concluded that the TOV varies with age, and the PNC is not influenced by age or sex; this data is essential in implantology and surgical planning in the anterior superior region of the maxilla.
