Factores asociados al rechazo en postulantes a donación de sangre del Hospital de Lima Este Vitarte – Lima, enero a junio, periodo 2024

Abstract

En la presente investigación se ha estudiado como objetivo general determinar los factores que están asociados al rechazo en postulantes a donación de sangre del Hospital de Lima Este Vitarte entre enero a junio durante el año 2024. La metodología comprendió un enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño no experimental, y tipo aplicado. Respecto a la población de estudio estuvo conformada por de 2,085 adultos que acudieron al Hospital de Lima Este Vitarte, cuyo muestreo fue probabilístico y aleatorizado, dando como muestra a 325 personas (mujeres y hombres). Asimismo, se aplicaron instrumentos construidos según las dimensiones e indicadores, previamente fue validado por la asesora de la investigación y el comité ético del hospital. Las técnicas fueron el análisis documentario y la encuesta, cuyo instrumento fue una ficha de recolección de datos. Los resultados indicaron que se identificó que las características sociodemográficas fueron la edad que se encontró mayormente entre los 29 a 39 años (37,8%) y las personas de sexo masculino (67,4%). Además, los rechazados del sexo masculino fueron 6,8% y la mayor proporción de rechazos fue el grupo de separados (33%) seguido del grupo de convivientes (10,2%), así como los postulantes de grupo sanguíneo O (7,1%) y la distribución del peso (en kg) en 6,8% y en la talla, el 6,8% de individuos fueron rechazados. Entonces, se concluyó que existe al menos un factor asociado al rechazo de los postulantes a donación a una muestra identificada como apta para la donación de sangre del Hospital de Lima Este Vitarte entre enero y junio durante el año 2024.

The general objective of this study was to determine the factors associated with rejection in applicants for blood donation at the Hospital de Lima Este Vitarte between January and June 2024. The methodology included a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, and applied type. The study population consisted of 2,085 adults who attended the Hospital de Lima Este Vitarte, whose sampling was probabilistic and randomized, giving a sample of 325 people (women and men). Likewise, instruments constructed according to the dimensions and indicators were applied, previously validated by the research advisor and the hospital's ethics committee. The techniques used were documentary analysis and the survey, whose instrument was a data collection form. The results indicated that the sociodemographic characteristics identified were age, which was found to be mostly between 29 and 39 years old (37.8%) and male (67.7%). In addition, 6.8% of the applicants were male and the highest proportion of refusals were in the separated group (33%) followed by the group of cohabitants (10.2%), as well as the applicants of blood group O (7.1%) and the weight distribution (in kg) in 6.8% and in height, 6.8% of individuals were rejected. Thus, it was concluded that there is at least one factor associated with the rejection of applicants for donation to a sample identified as suitable for blood donation at the Hospital de Lima Este Vitarte between January and June during the year 2024
