Cervicalgia (neck pain) is a highly prevalent musculoskeletal disorder that causes pain, restricted mobility, and functional disability, negatively affecting both the quality of life and work performance of the population. The general objective of this study is to determine the relationship between neck pain and the muscular strength of the cervical flexors in patients treated at a physical rehabilitation center in Lima. To this end, the study employs a quantitative approach, is applied in nature, follows a correlational level, and utilizes a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The sample will consist of 103 patients selected through non-probabilistic purposive sampling. Data collection will involve the use of internationally validated instruments: the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) to measure pain intensity, the Neck Disability Index (NDI) questionnaire to assess functional capacity, and the Craniocervical Flexion Test—conducted using a pressure biofeedback device (Stabilizer)—to quantify the strength of the deep flexor muscles. Ultimately, the study is justified by its potential to provide objective and efficient tools for optimizing the clinical history-taking process and physiotherapeutic assessment, thereby contributing to the development of improved strategies for the prevention, motor retraining, and clinical treatment of cervicalgia.
